is there a way to keep a course private with more than 50 students?

I work for a school district and we have schools that would like to create an iTunes U course for an entire school. They want to keep the material private to just the students in that school. Thoughts?

Why not create multiple sections of the same course and allow 50 students each? Do you have a public iTunes U site? If your instructors are affiliated, there are no limitations to the number of students that can enroll. If you do not add the Course URL to the public site, it is private in the sense that only those with access to the URL can request enrollment. Just a thought.

Your school district should complete the Public Site Manager enrollment process (https://eduapp.apple.com/). So far as I can tell, there is no obligation to actually offer public courses upon successful enrollment. Once this process is complete, the admin for your Public Site can affiliate Apple IDs with your institution. When these affiliated Apple IDs log in to iTunes U Course Manager, they have unlimited storage, can create an unlimited number of private courses, and each private course can have an unlimited number of students.
