i put a lock on my ipad from find my iphone and someone tryed to get in it to much like type to many passwords and its says 'ipad is disabled, connect to itunes'? what do i do? i connected it to itunes but it said 'itunes cant connect to ipad becuse of a passlock please type passlock in and try again' BUT I CANT !!! HELP???!!!
iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 5.1.1
You may need to put the iPad into recovery mode for your computer's iTunes to be able to reset it : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808 - you should then be able to restore/resync your content to it
Recovery Mode:
1. Turn off iPad
2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad
Will it delete my pictures?
It will remove all of your content, and you will need to either restore to your last backup or resync your content
i havent backed it up? IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN GET BACK IN TO IT WITHOUT DELETING MY STUFF????
You can try doing a soft-reset of the : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear
But you will probably end up back at the 'ipad disabled' screen.

As far as I'm aware once it shows the disabled screen it needs to be connected to a computer's iTunes in order to reset it, I don't know of any of way to get around it - though if other people do, hopefully they'll post

I know this may be a hard lesson, but always back up your data. Its the one thing that cannot be replaced.
Ive restarted it, i got my music and apps back but all my pictures r gone, and Yes I know I just backed up my phone the over day and that's what I was going to do to my iPad today, but I've learnt my lesson and will always back it up, but thanks for helping anyway.
