I have personally submitted suggestions that have been implemented. They won't tell you "we used your suggestion," but look around on their website, or in information about updates to see if they mention your suggestion.
The iPhone does NOT have a dot-lock function on it, it only has the 4 digit passcode, which can through the settings be made to be more intricate.
If you want the dot lock on iPhone, then leave feedback at http://apple.com/feedback/ but it is extremely unlikely for the iPhone to get this feature
You could turn off Simple Passcode and use a password instead.
i think if the dot pattern lock had the feature to not expose the "path"/lines that connect the dots, it would be harder to determine the pattern. For the 4-digit number, the numbers actually light up blue when you press them which makes it easier identifiable to prying eyes
So, do you know how to turn the dot pattern lock on?

Agreed. I also find patterns easier to remember than numbers so, I have actually remembered my boss's pattern lock to her Samsung. 😉
You don't. What is wrong with either a number or alphanumeric passcode?
Though in my personal opinion, a dot pattern is just as easy to see as a 4-digit number code.

well, i find that the number or alphanumeric passcode is being "picked off" too often. People see my code whereas if i had the dot lock pattern, it would be harder to notice.
The dot pattern lock does not exist for the iPhone. stevejobsfan0123 provided you a link for feedback to Apple if you would like to tell them about this feature.

It can work. Send it in, there will be no response to your entry but no one here can say if Apple will implement it or not.

Yes, people have done this and had an impact as a result. It is not virually impossible.
