How do I delete keychains?

So I'm on my iMac and I'm setting up my mail, and it says 'Enter the keychain 'login' password.' so I didn't really know what it meant, so I entered my Mac accounts password it didn't work. Then I entered my email password, it didnt work. I entered my old password for my mac account, it didn't work. I don't really know what it means, and it happened again when I tried setting up microsoft messenger.

Can anyone tell me what the keychain 'login' password means, or how do I get rid of it when setting up these things?

Hello,

See if this helps...

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.

Keychain Access asks for keychain "login" after changing login password...

Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X...

If Keychain First Aid finds an issue that it cannot repair, or if you do not know your keychain password, you may need to reset your keychain.
