Hi sorry, been offline a while ... I have one iTunes library, I think... on my laptop... where my own music is stored.

i also have an ipad (which by the way since i upgraded to IOS6 separated thesongs out of the albums, i have no idea why.

I purchased some music on my phone about 18 months ago but never put them on my computer. I dont have that phone now.I guess i could just ignore the old phone data and consider it lost. and move forward...

Now my ipad audio connection seems to be playing up and cuts in and out...

you can see i clearly am in a bit of a mess. Hence trying to get everything in one place.

Hello Rosalie,

You can get those songs back at no charge! You don't need the old phone. Follow one of these guides:

iTunes 10 for Windows: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store

http://support.apple.com/kb/PH1619

iTunes 10 for Mac: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store

http://support.apple.com/kb/PH1706

When you do that, make sure the song files get added to your current iTunes library on your laptop. Then just stop using the old account.
