I was wondering if the usb charger cable could transmit malware if it was used on an infected computer or iphone, to my iphone?

There are no viruses that affect the iPhone.
Viruses that affect Windows computers will do nothing to an iPhone, nor be transferred via any means.
Disinfect your computer.
