Nov 20, 2012 7:57 AM in response to georgioskioby BobH47,No Georgiosko,
My Thunderbolt to DVI is working fine......
Your diagnosis may be correct but speaking purely for myself the DVI (via supplied adapter) and HDMI output from the HDMI port doesn't work but Thunderbolt to DVI using an Apple adapter works.
I cannot recall seeing any posts on this forum identifying a problem from the Thunderbolt port.

Nov 20, 2012 7:56 AM in response to BobH47by obriendavid,I have the same issue as everyone, using the supplied hdmi to dvi adapter. Sometimes black screen, sometimes static snow.
Cheers

Nov 20, 2012 8:05 AM in response to KevChengby BobH47,I'm new to Apple, what a moment to change!
Do they have people who monitor these forums and comment? Microsoft have people called MVPs who at least give readers the impression that something is being done.
I haven't noticed a comment from Apple yet? Has anyone else?

Nov 20, 2012 8:22 AM in response to BobH47by georgioskio,My screen hasn t dvi port!!This is the reason that i want thunderbolt to hdmi! But if the thunderbolt to hdmi has the same problem this means that the problem is at the intel 4000 and not at hdmi port!

The thread is getting too long for people to remember every detail so let me restate that my Thunderbolt port failed entirely. The mini went to sleep on schedule, woke up the next morning to find the port died in its sleep. That left me with just the flaky HDMI port. No amount of troubleshooting by myself or the Apple techs could revive the port. The Genius at the Apple Store wouldn't even look at it as he'd seen the problem before. I returned the mini for refund.
Please note that Macworld is asking for people to contact them if you're having problems. Presumably, they'll do a story on the problem and that would raise the visibility of the issue so perhaps others would come forward.

Re: light colors are gone for Mac Mini (late 2012)
19 nov. 2012 00:09 (in response to DLDante)
In my case: (My monitor is HDMI only)
Bad colors:
HDMI -> Display
HDMI -> Apple DVI adaptor -> DVI_HDMI adapter -> Display
TB -> third party mdp to HDMI adaptor -> Display
Good colors:
TB -> Apple DVI adaptor -> DVI_HDMI adapter -> Display
my dvi_hdmi adapter is a very cheap one (HKD 30)

And my Thunderbolt_HDMI adapter is a very good one (Apple)

Nov 20, 2012 11:58 AM in response to KevChengby Deckar,Apple should supply us with a thunderbolt to DVI adapter. I don't think I should have to buy one to get my mini to function properly. My black screens have gotten longer recently going from 1-3 seconds to up to 10 and I also had to disconnect once to get my picture back. I hope this gets a fix soon. I am getting tired of worrying my screen will turn off permanently. This is a new product, a little info on this issue from apple would be nice. Their silence makes me worry.

Nov 20, 2012 12:04 PM in response to Deckarby BobH47,Have you asked Apple?
Having purchased my Mini from my local Apple Store the manager willingly supplied one free of charge.
Have you registered the fault with AppleCare? If so there is no harm in asking!

Nov 20, 2012 1:25 PM in response to Deckarby x704,Apple should not supply a thunderbolt adapter, they should fix their products defect. I have other plans for the only thunderbolt port and I'd imagine others do too... work arounds for a brand new product should not be required for normal functionality espeically when they remove the option ot use expansion ports such as the one and only thunderbolt port...
