Dear Apple:

I would like to read ibooks on my mac pro. I have a 22 "" cinima display and would like to read the book there and synch the book to my other devices as well. I have several reasons I would like to do this.

1) The monitor is much bigger and my old eyes would like to view a book without having to use my glasses.

2) I like to quote things from my books to share with friends or even on some of my other research and I think copy and paste between ibooks and facebook or other sources would be cool. (As long as I make proper references and don't try to profit there should be no big deal)

3) I love the ability to synch my material between phone, ipad, imac, mac book air, mac pro, or what ever I have handy at the moment.

Thanks for working so hard to make such cool stuff. Thanks for making computers easy and fun.

These are user to user forums.  To tell Apple what new features you want to see, it is best to post your comments at

Since countless people have asked for this for well over 2 years now, and a new version of iBooks has just been released without a version for OS X, I would not be too optimistic.  Instead get your books from from one other sources that provides free ereader apps for OS X, such as Kindle, Nook, Kobo, or Googlebooks.
