What wireless router are you using? Does that router broadcast in the wireless channel or b, g or n? Does the router see the printer wireless request for IP?

I'm having the same problem and can't find any solutions on the internet.

I bought a Epson Workforce WF-3520 and made it all the way through the connection process, includng the wifi wizard, which recognized my wireless network.  At the final screen I got an error message that says:  "The network channel assigned to your Wi-Fi network is not supported by the printer. This may disable your printer's Wi-Fi connection."  The first time around, I clicked OK anyway, and it did indeed disable my connection.

I'm using Airport Extreme wirelessly with my imac and macbookpro and can't figure out what "network channel" the message refers to.  I've poked all around in the Airport Extreme settings, but can't find anything that indictes a "channel."  And I also can't find anything on the Epson site stating which channels are acceptable.

Any help would be SO appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Kristin

    Wireless Tab, Wireless Options… button.

If you are running a 5Ghz network, the other popup menu would apply.

I don't know if picking a channel specifically, will alllow the printer to connect.

I have an Epson NX 530, which is more the home version of that printer, and don't have any problem connecting on Automatic channel selection.

Check your wireless router, if it is set to channel 12 or higher change it to 11 or below. Assuming you are in the USA.

It is an Airport Extreme set to Automatic.  5GHz Channel 157.  2.4GHz Channel 8.

Well that's not the issue then (both of those are USA approved channels)

I don't see any description of your problem here, what is it?

For anyone who still has this problem-

I have an Epson WF-7520 that gave the same error. Turned out to be a firewall issue.

I got the same error message trying to install the driver for my Epson WP 4540. I disabled my McAfee firewall protection for 15 minutes while it all downloaded, installed, and connected. It works great now!
