hello,

I am having a similar issue. Just installed windows 8 on my mac, but i cannot select anything using the trackpad. I can move the mouse icon around fine, but cannot click on anything so I am forced to use a USB mouse. I tried the steps above, but I do not have any yellow icons under Human Interface Devices. I do however, have one under 'Other Device', specifically 'Coprocessor'. Any ideas on what I can do to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance.

I want to confirm that these instructions (by neil114) are for Windows 7? I have tried doing this on my iMac running Windows 8 using BC4. And I do not get resolution for my trackpad. It works - but no Win8 gestures.

Also Neil, you specify to "choose USB input device". My computer does not show this (as I suspect many people's won't) because the trackpad and magic mouse are bluetooth. I tried following the instructions using the alternatives available, but it didn't help.

If anyone has suggestions, I'd love to hear.

Thanks.
