I'd recommend taking a shopping trip to MacMall - see what they have available with the features that you want and the price point that you're looking for and then check out the Apple drivers for that (those) particular models.

For HP models, for instance, you can visit the Apple HP drivers download page (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907) and then click to see the supported printers (for example, HP - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP).

Good luck, there are a lot of wireless laser printers out there, compatible with both Macs and Windows machines - just shop around.

Hello,

I have a HP Laserjet P1102W and the installation for my new iMac is only possible through a computer that has Window XXXXX or a Mac working under MacOSX 10.6 or lower. Also: first installate the wireless connextion through the other machine and then it works also by my new iMac with MacOSX 10.8.2. Reason: HP find the P1102W already a older machine and wil not upgrade this untill MacOSX 10.8.2.

I can confirm that this HP Laserjet P1102W printer does not work wirelessly with OSX 10.8 as a wireless printer, only USB. I spent hours messing with it and following instructions on the web. It would get to the final step of setup and say it cant communicate with the printer. HP has a list of compatible printers for OSX Mountain Lion and the HP Laserjet P1102W printer is not on that list Here is the link to their page

go to the link at the bottom of the page - HP LaserJet monochrome printers and All-In-Ones

You will not find it there. There are a lot of well meaning people that will try to help you jump through hoops to get it to work and it will not. One of them says he is an HP employee. Maybe in the janitorial department.

HP P1102w works wirelessly with OS X 10.8.x via Airport. There are no offical drivers.

I did initially set the printer up through my Windows computer.

The printer is pretty sketchy. It works but it loses connection with the wireless after going to sleep I guess. I think I got into the IP address of the printer and used that "web page" to keep it from going to sleep. It has been working better the last few days, but in general, I would avoid this printer. Sometimes it works fine. Sometimes I have to turn the printer on and off a few times. Annoying.

I have heard better things about some Brother models.
