I am going to wipe my 2009 macbook and reinstall all of the software. Will I have to purchase Lion and Mountain Lion again?

With all the stuff I've loaded on my computer, I want to wipe it and make a clean start. I'm going to back up all of my information with an external hard drive, so I won't lose my docs, contacts, etc.

Will I have to repurchase the applications I have downloaded? Quickbooks, Mountain Lion, etc?

If you got them from the Mac App Store, no, unless you lose access to your Apple ID. If they were downloaded from elsewhere, check the site's documentation.
