iBook stuck downloading

1. Make sure you have the latest version of iOS.

2. Make sure you have the latest version of ibooks.

3. Download a free book from the iBook store. This appears to make existing books with a "downloading" status change to the cloud download button. Click the button to download the book again.

Hi, I tried your way but still my book is stuck at 99%. It happens only to one of my books, the other book is fine. How to resolve the problem? Thanks!

It's a previously purchased book, not a newly purchased book.

I have a book stuck "downloading" on my iphone 5. I shut it off and restarted. I downloaded another book. I deleted the ap and reinstalled. It still shows as "downloading" in the store and "paused" on my bookshelf. I tried downloading one more book but it still didn't work. What should I try next?

I have a book stuck download for over a day now. I have tried to power down and restart my phone. I have deleted the app and re-installed it. I have also tried to download free books and they seem to download fine, but the book I purchased is stuck and does not finish downloading. Any help?

I had the same problem and tried everything including rebooting the phone, deleting iBooks, etc. Nothing worked.

Solution: I had turned off wifi. By turning on wifi and logging on to a network, the download completed immediately.

So, try turning on wifi.

I was able to clear the download by searching for the book again in ibook. When I found it it was shown as in the cloud. After selecting it the download was successful. When I went to my library it was indeed downloaded. All other suggestions did not work.

Try:

1. Turing iPad off and on

2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo

YES YES YES!!!

Finally, loading a free iBook caused "paused" to appear on the stuck book and when the free one finished loading ..... the paused one loaded!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you tried all steps listed above and only have two books, I suggest you delete your ibooks app and re-download the iBooks app. Then you can just re-download your two books.

I have done everything listed or suggested,including deleting ibooks, and reinstalling. NOW, all my books from the cloud are stuck downloading!! Any help

IiBooks, including free ones will not download, will the Apple Store give me my money back for the ipad as it is not fit for purpose? Absolutely cheesed off with being taken for a ride.
