headphone adaptor for appletv?
I'm looking for an inexpensive (< $100) solution to hook an appletv into my headphones without a big watt sucking amplifier between them. So I an watch movies in bed. I do not want to have to buy another tv to do this.
I think they are called a DAC, but I can only find ones that seem to be priced for the audio nutter crowd.
The thing would work like this:
[apple tv] --> [DAC thingy] --> headphones
What I've so far googled tends to be like this:
[apple tv] --> [receiver] --> headphones
[apple tv] --> [DAC thingy] --> [amplifier] --> headphones
[apple tv] --> [$$$$ DAC with 5 inputs and 10 outputs] --> headphones
I don't have a lot of money to spend on this and this would be its only purpose ever, so I need it to be a cheap (nasty, if required) solution.
Any ideas?
