Q: My computer backed up my iPhone before I updated my IOS, now itunes crashes everytime I restore!  I need my Contact information!

Have you tried restaring your computer and your phone? Are your running itunes 10.7 also?

When does iTunes crash?

When you connect to the computer?

When you click on the restore button?

At sometime during the restore?

Does it crash or does just iTunes freeze?

Is your computer a Mac or Windows?

Did you check Contacts App (Mac) or Outlook (Windows)?

Are you using iCloud to sync Contacts?

Your contact will be in whatever program/service yiou have been syncing.

If you have failed to sync your contacts, as the iphone is designed to do, then they are likely gone.
