Importing Events from Aperture to iMovie

When I imported my Aperture 3.4.1 movie clips/videos/events into iMovie 9.0.8, they all went into one "folder" title Aperture. This makes it too difficult to navigate through my 100's of movies clips. How can I get them into separte folders by dates (like when I import directly from my iPad?
