My beloved macbook will not start up, It is stuck on the startup screen. I have tried starting in safemode but that did nothing. I also have not noticed any issues with it, I used it about 2 hours ago and it worked fine. Then I came back tried to open STEAM and it would not open so I restarted and thats when it wouldnt load.

What were the results of using Disk Utility to repair the hard drive?
I never did that how do I?
I did a startup using the disk, repaired the drive and the permissions for it then restarted now it is stuck just like before. What do I do?
The next step would be to reload the operating system, however, you may want to take it to an Apple store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for assistance.
Thanks, I tried booting from disk and confirmed that the hard drive crashed.
