Can I return a free app and receive a refund of all in-app purchases?

I've been playing a "free" app for awhile now and enjoying it quite a lot and have spent over $100 for things over the last few months. However, recently the game has started having major issues, entire areas of the game are often offline, items in game keep going missing or can't be used, and I keep losing battles because my troops aren't working. To top it all off something has gone wrong with my account and now I can't even log in. I have used their password reset but it isn't working, and their customer service hasn't been able to help me for retreive it, I've been waiting for over a month!

I have no interest in playing this game any more, I just want my money back. Is there any way I can get a refund? Would I have to dispute each individula in-app purchase?
