I have a Samsung CLX-3175 printer (not wireless)Am i right in understanding that if i connect an airport extreme to it, that it will become a wireless printer? any issues i should know about this before buying an air port? thanks all

You might want to check with Samsung support to verify if your model will work at the USB port of the AirPort Extreme. If it does, then you will be able to print from your computer using the wireless connection.


There is a good chance that the printer will work because it does appear on Apple's list of compatible models:

Important Note......If your printer is an All-in-One type device, only the print function will work when the printer is connected to the AriPort Extreme. Copy, Scan, Maintenance, etc will not be supported. You will need to connect the All-in-One directly to your computer for those features to be available.


If you are asking about printing from an iPad, even if your printer is supported, you will likely not be able to print from the iPad unless you install an App like Print Central on the iPad.
