reinstalling tiger will it erase anything

Question

If I reinstall my software will it erase the music and stuff on my computer .

Mac mini, iOS 4.2

If you make an "Archive and install" installation, you will lose the data, but if you just reinstall Tiger, you won't lose the files

About the Archive and Install feature, which can give you a new OS, yet preserve your files and settings if you have enough room on your HD...
