Early 2008 MacBook Pro Wake Up Prob...

Ok so last night my MBP was running fine then I closed the lid so it would've go into sleep mode and went to bed. I then woke up and opened the lid and all I could see was a Black screen and nothing else so I did the usual to see if it was a delay when trying to wake up or something. Then got onto my iPhone to see if there were any fixes to my problem but none.

I tried resetting the PRAM as well as other guides mention by Apple as well as other users here but they didn't help at all!

The I went searching on Google thinking it was the NVIDIA defect which I think it might be. But unfortunately my brother bought this in May 2008 so it's out of the 4 year extended warranty, which makes no sense since this doesn't pertain to those who experience this defect til after the fact. So is there anything that can be done to get this resolved?? lol

Running Mountain Lion 10.8.2

Nope - even had you purchased AppleCare, you'd be out of warranty. Apple doesn't fix something free.

Your best bet is to take your machine to your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them give you an estimate on what it would cost to have your machine repaired. If it's an steep sum, ask them about the Flat Rate Repair Pricing.

That's the best you can do...
