How to assign PSR740.ins voices so Logic can play my Yamaha PSR740?

Back in the days of MasterTracks Pro and Encore there was a process by which an instrument file for your synth could be read in, saved under a specified name and then one could access and assign the voices from the app (and vice versa as I recall since a change on the synth when recording did in fact select the correct voice name from the database.). Since my Yamaha PSR740 has close to 1000 voices, inputting them by hand is unreasonable plus I have the instrument file (psr740.ins) in my hot little hand awaiting clarification as to how it is done in Logic.

Many thanks for any help, guidance or even assurance that it can't be done so I can abandon this quest.
