Oct 28, 2012 9:51 PM in response to John Galtby hector0913,This is the error message that was shown when I plugged my ipod into my computer. Im not familiar with what a powered hub is but I assume by its name that it is a usb port or extention which has it own external power source. I can afford something like that at the moment. Ill read up on the link you send me. Thank you for your help.

Oct 29, 2012 2:56 AM in response to hector0913by lllaass,I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. SOme other uses have reported same problem and it was due to a bad cable. The Lightning cable includes active components and not just wire.
