Unable to upgrade in App Store

Since upgrading to 10.8.2, App store doesn't recognize my computer, tells me I need to "sign in to the account I used to purchase it". I am signed in to iTunes and to the App Store which is reflected on the screen yet the message persists. The App upgrade I am trying to do is iPhoto, which is part of the system software.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), iPad 2, iPhone 4S

in the App Store under purchased there is no appearance of iPhoto software UPDATE. Both Lion and Mountain Lion appear with the option to DOWNLOAD, but both have already been installed on my MBP. Another (iBank) appears with the button saying INSTALLED. It appears the problem relates to the installation of 10.8.2. Would welcome other suggestions.
