How do I input a video/photo from my iPad (previously recorded) to my iMovie on iPad

It seems like my iMovie app is not working. I am tring to input a photo or video from my iPad into iMovie and cannot figure this out. I can however from iMovie take a video and it show up.

I am trying to make and create a trailer of an event without hauling my computer.
