2 Step Authentication on icloud/Apple ID

With the growing importance of icloud for me it comes to my attention that I have absolutely no control on my account once I got hacked. For me, it is the most frightening scenario to loose my personal icloud account. I do use 2 step verification on nearly all webservices, eg. dropbox, paypal, my bank accounts, even blizzard supports 2 step verification. I can't believe it is still impossible to use 2step/2factor-Auth at the most important webservice I have - my Apple ID/ iCloud account.

Does anybody know how to make apple supporting this? Is there already an option I haven't found?

I wouldn't hold your breath for it being implemented though - you'd go an interesting colour. In the meantime make your password as complex as you can bear - say 12 characters, obviously no dictionary words, and mixing upper case, lower case and numerals.

I like your answer but it wasn't for sure what I wanted to hear ;-) I already did so with my password but it doesn't protect me against MITM attacks from some of those applications or using iCloud on Windows PC's or in networks I don't trust... So password complexity is the only way to secure icloud/apple ID... Believe me - it already go an interesting colour 😀
