You'll likely get conflicting opinions, but personally I'd avoid it, especially as it's still in beta - albeit public.

Some of these apps that claim to clean up you Mac do more harm than good - MacKeeper springs to mind as possibly being the worst culprit for messing up Macs (based on postings on here and elsewhere).

You don't really need any such app on your computer as the Mac mostly looks after its own maintenance. Removing apps is always best done using the developer of the apps uninstaller. If that's not available using one of the more proven app delete programs, e.g. TrashMe, AppDelete (there are others) might be a better choice. I've used TrashMe for a while without any problems.

Some of these programs that 'clean up your Mac' can delete critical system files and, worst case, render the computer pretty much inoperable.

Just my opinion. See what others have to say.

This is a word for word copy-and-paste.

Delete Apps thoroughly

Every app you launch in OS X creates tons of files on your hard disk. Simply dropping the app on the trash will leave those orphaned files on your hard disk. CleanApp can delete Apps without any traces from your Mac. This way, you Mac's hard disk is not cluttered with tens of thousands of unused files files.

CleanApp uses analytical methods, a background process logging file activity of Apps and the Clean Community to thoroughly delete all traces of Apps you no longer wish to keep.

Forget the laughable hyperbole - given the lack of attention to detail evident in the above, how detail-oriented would you say their programmers are?

There really is no need to read anything more, but morbid curiosity got the better of me.

Remove System Extensions

OS X does not bring any management for System Extensions like Screensavers, Kernel Extensions or Safari Plugins by default. ...

Good idea.

System Maintenance

OS X runs several maintenance scripts at predefined times. These are necessary to clean up temporary directories and remove unused cache files. The run intervals for those scripts have been chosen to fit the average user. Using your Mac more often than the average user, it makes sense to run the system maintenance scripts more often. Launching these scripts is only a few clicks away with CleanApp, you do not have to open the Terminal and memorize complex commands.

Wrong, wrong, and more wrong.

Whatever you do, never download or install any product claiming to magically "clean up" or "speed up" or "optimize" your Mac. Without exception, they will do the opposite. This sounds like a prime candidate.
