update ios5, need upload content computer>ipod

updated ipod os, wiped it clean and now need to reload content thus from computer to ipod. Even though this seems common, I have not seen a clear method. Why would sync not work....? oh well.

complicating matters, I will need to move everything to a newly purchased laptop from this one, and I have an ipad too to do. Can you help a tech ill lit er ate ( ha)??? Thanks
