Problems with Chase Mobile

My husband says that Chase Mobile works on his iPad with no problems. I started having issues around 2 months ago. Even with the update to the app, I still cannot log in. I type in my username and password and it just sits there and finally tells me "The Request Timed Out"

No matter how many times I try to log in it always gives me this error message.

I tried to delete and reinstall the app but that did not fix the problem.


Any help will be greatly appreciated.


I'm not sure this matters, but I am using the app over Wifi.

Ironically, Chase Mobile on my iPad works fine (over wi-fi), but it does not work on my iPhone 4 over wi-fi. Yet it does work over 3G. I was thinking maybe Comcast (my ISP) was possibly filtering the communications but Chase Mobile on an iPhone 4S over the same wi-fi connection works fine... I don't get it...

I have the same problem and have since the update to IOS6. I've done both updates to Chase and still nothing. I also am unable to send MMS messages (pictures) over wifi when in my house. I follow another thread on here for the MMS issue and it seems to be the Comcast modem and router combo. Wondering if the people in this discussion that are having problems with the chase app over wifi 1)have comcast 2)have the modem/router combo and 3)are also having issues sending MMS messages over wifi.

Yes I also have Comcast at home, ios6 and can't get it to work, and my Chase app works fine over the office WiFi. I have read of other issues where the Comcast router had to be reconfigured to get around the problem, but the root cause is the ios6 software, not the router... But I don't know. It just doesn't work.

Well the logic might be strange, but I can tell you that after installing IOS6.1, both my iphone and my ipad now work fine with the Chase app and Comcast. That was the only change. If you read through the threads you'll see there was some comm feature that Comcast used that IOS6 did not support, and 6.1 does... so now it all works.

Started noticing issues with the Chase Bank Mobile apps not working (timing out during authentification) over Comcast WiFi from both a Verizon iPhone 5 and a <gasp> Verizon Motorola DROID 4. Since both apps work fine over 4G LTE, just not over Comcast WiFi, it may be Comcast, as others in the forums have suggested.


An odd additional bit of info is that using Safari on the iPhone 5 and the default DROID 4 browser to go to https://m.chase.com while on Comcast WiFi also times-out on authentification, yet both browers work to the Mobile Chase website just fine again over 4G LTE ONLY. And a laptop accessing the same URL via browser works fine over Comcast Wifi. <headscratching>


Will update the iPhone 5 to IOS 6.1 to see if that fixes the Chase app on the iPhone over Comcast Wifi, as others have reported.


When reporting this issue to various vendors, it has been like watching a pack of puppies chasing each others tails with the blame game they want to play.
