In the last few weeks, I've been getting about 4 hours on a charge. After each hour, the battery meter goes down by 1/4.
Yesterday and today, the meter shows a full battery after 1.5 hours of playing time. Did it fix itself, or is the good news not to be believed? (I did believe it before, because the Nano would stop playing soon after the icon went red.)
Are you sure just didn't let the iPod fully charge this last time around? The iPod's battery has what is known as a fast charge to 100% and a full charge to 100%.

I always charge it to 100% and leave it plugged in at least an hour more. I can't figure this out because nothing I do has changed.
I wouldn't be too concerned at this point unless the battery life starts to drastically reduce again.
