Clone new iPhone 5

We are receiving a iPhone 5 in a few days. It will be our second iPhone (for my wife). We want to clone it to the iPhone 4S we already have so the two are basically the same (data, pictures, music, etc.). Is it possible and if yes, are there instructions for a newbie to accomplish this? Do you activate the phone first, or, load the backup data first? Perhaps, it does not matter? Thank you.
