grey out system preferences

I am managing a lab of 20 iMacs running OS X 10.7.5. I need to restrict access to some of the system preferences. This is so that preferences are not changed by students. I have enabled parental controls but still have trouble with restricting acccess to the system preferenes. Is there a way I can grey out preferences?
