ibook charger benting sides

my ibook chaeger is starting to bend and the point is missing and whe i interst the charger into the ibook it still lights up but my ibook will not power on does it mean i need to replace my ibook charger

iBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

Where is the pin? If it is nowhere to be found, then it is likely stuck in the adapter port. In this case, you will need a new charging adapter, and you will also need to have the DC-in board replaced (the part of the iBook which houses the adapter port).

** For others reading this, if you have an adapter which has a bent pin, stop using it and buy a new adapter to keep this situation from happening to you. It is a complicated fix to replace the DC-in board.
