    Not sure if you can.

    For sure you can use it from its account to purchase items for another account with the option to send a present.

    Sorry, Walter, but that's incorrect. You cannot use a gift card balance to purchase gifts for someone else. There is no way to transfer a balance from one account to another.

    Is a gift card  different from the iTunes card we can buy in any shop in Italy ?

    With this card you can load it into your account and later if you purchase apps or music you can present it to another account.  That is that you cannot transfer the balance but you can use it to purchase for another account which at the end  makes you reach the same target even if in a not direct way.

    Is it not possible with gift cards ?

    That's the same. But once redeemed, you cannot use the credit balance to gift music or apps to someone else. From the Apple Store terms and conditions for iTunes gift cards:

     

    La carta non può essere sostituita con denaro contante, rimborsata, scambiata né utilizzata per l’acquisto di altri prodotti, buoni mensili o buoni regalo iTunes.

     

    or in English

     

     

    Card may not be used to purchase any other merchandise, allowances or iTunes gifting.

    Send Music, Videos, Audiobooks, and Apps as Gifts

    If you want to put more thought into giving an iTunes Store gift than sending a Gift Certificate or iTunes Gift Card, give a specific iTunes Gift. This allows you to personally pick a song (or create a playlist of songs), album, video, audiobook, or app to send to someone. You will need a credit card to make the purchase.
