iMessage issues for October 30, 2012.

My iMessage has worked all day up until around 4:30 P.M. eastern time. I've tried turning it off and on as well as turning my iPhone off and on. It says that iMessage is activated but it will not send any messages as iMessages to other phones whom I know for fact have iMessage and it will not even attempt to send iMessages now, making all my contacts who have iPhones automatically green instead of blue and going straight to being a text message instead.

I have an iPhone 4 and I am on Verizon in the Tampa, Florida area, if this helps at all.

If anyone knows of any fixes or what could possibly be the problem, any help would be appreciated.

iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1

I am having the same problem. Facetime and the app store aren't working for me either. I'm in Germany. My boyfriend mentioned that his mother is having the same problem with iMessage not working. They're in the UK. Seems to be a worldwide problem.

The frustrating thing is, even though I have the function to send as a text message if iMessage isn't working disabled, it did that anyway! Luckily it was just a short text I sent to my boyfriend, not a long one that would have been several texts long or a picture as international SMS/MMS are really expensive.

My brother and his girlfriend are having the same problem. Both in Germany.

Same in Ontario, Canada. Second time this month... Apple: I'm truly disappointed with this. Where is your public announcement? Are you going to admit that the service is down? Are we going to see any rebates? I have spent over $500 in the past few years investing in your services and a heck of a lot more money on your products. This is making me think twice - so, having said that, what will you do for your loyal clients? An apology? Firing executives? Your revenue is in the hundreds of Billions. Please remedy a long term solution and please do consider doing something for the millions of people worldwide that you're affecting. This is not looking good... A long time supporter -- Jesse.
