Browser Dilema for Macbook Pro-R
I have this dilema where I can't seem to find the best browser for my tastes. There's always something that breaks it for me.
Chrome; Turns on my fans all the time and drains my battery quicker especially when viewing YouTube videos. The Retina support goes out the window when logged into my college. I don't like the downloading process.
Firefox; Works pretty good, but doesn't have retina support at all. So I downloaded Aurora and Nightlies, but ended up with browser issues on certain sites. Nightlies and Aurora had great Retina support for my college sites. The downside I have (which is a bigger one for me) is the animations or lack there of. I really love the Safari animations for downloading and back and forward, Firefox just doesn't have any of these. Scrolling is also not as good on Firefox. Like Chrome, the downloading isn't as cool as I want. I do like the speed and overall experience, but I would rather use Safari.
Safari; To me it's the best browser. I like it the most, I love the top sites, the animations when browsing and I really love the downloading. I like the animation of it dropping something in my downloads folder (as petty as that is it's a big plus for me). What's keeping me from enjoying this browser is college. I need to disable the popup blocker and accept all cookies in order to visit my college, then re enable these settings after. A pain, but not horrible. Just ***** and that's it really. If I can figure out how to get safari to accept popups from certain sites automatically then I'd be set.
Opera: I didn't like it at all. Nothing good to say in my book.
So basically, I like Firefox and Safari the best, but they are pros and cons on each. Can someone help me figure out how to make it better for me?
Safari, I just wanna know is it safe to browse the web with cookies enabled all the time. Firefox, Chrome and Opera have them enabled by default and when I was on PC I had them on all the time and just used adaware to get rid of them here and there. How about pop ups is there anyway to keep it from blocking all sites. Namely just my college.
Basically how do I handle this situation with Safari is what I'm really getting at until firefox gets retina support then it's how do I get animations on firefox lol.
