Disappeared from your iTunes library or from your iPod Classic?

I am having the same problem. Two audiobooks went missing. Tech support helped me with one, but not both. I suspect I lost them on my phone during an IOS update. Audiobooks are fussy about syncing to the icloud. I have to manually move my audio books to my devices, through itunes, in most cases. I am still trying to get compensated for a $24 book gone missing.

Today I was able to resolve my missing audio book issue with a phone call from tech support. I have now redownloaded the missing book to itunes on my Mac, sync'd it to my phone, and backed up all my audio books to an external. Audio books do not sync like music and aps. Since they are larger files, most audio books require a hard wire sync. I am looking forward to listening to my book tonight. I am happy to say I am still a huge fan of Apple as a company and their products. 🙂

Almost all my audiobooks are missing since I bought a new computer. The iTunes Media Library is on a seperate external hardrive! I've managed to find fragments of them, meaning 1 part or 2 parts out of 4 or 6.

Searched all my computers! I had this problem with movies until Apple got that together.

Apple should have a separate audiobooks library in purchases.

I originally had a problem when I downloaded an audiobook to my iPad. I wanted to sync it to my iPhone and iMac. I could not locate any method to do so from devices themselves. I connected the iPad to my iMac and proceeded to transfer purchases. The item then disappeared from my iPad and there was no trace on my iMac. I fixed the problem by locating the receipt email Apple had sent for my purchase. I found the item in question and clicked on report a problem, I chose item didn't download or could not be found. It will redirect to your iTunes, go to the Store menu, check for available download, authenticate with your apple crdentials and presto. Hope this helps.
