My macbook will not charge. When I plug in the charger, the light goes green and the battery remains at 0%. If i plug out the charger, the computer will go off. This means i must have my charger in the whole time while using the computer and if the charger gets accidently pulled put the computer will turn off. This is verry annoying and I would be delighted if someone could help. Thanks!

Go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info(and then System Report if you are running 10.7 Lion or 10.8 Mountain Lion), then select Power from the left hand column of the System Profiler.
