Q: SD Card slot does not work

The SD card slot on my Mac Book Pro 2009 does not work, and has'nt for some time. Please advise accordingly.

    You're just going to have to take your MBP to your local Apple Store or an AASP and have them diagnose the problem and give you an estimate on how much it would cost to repair. If you don't use it that often (and since it's been some time since it's been working) you could always get a USB card reader - much less expensive, I would bet, than having the machine repaired.
