Just got a Macbook Air. Currently have numbers documents from my ipad stored in the cloud I want to access, how do I see them on my Macbook.
Once I've amended the documents on my macbook how do I get to upload to the cloud and back on to the ipad.
Which operating system does your MBA use.
The latest Mountain Lion.
From the numbers application File > open and the iCloud panel will open. Assuming you have document syncing turned on in system preferences > iCloud.
Can't see icloud in File>Open in Numbers. Documents Syncing is turned on in System Preferences.
When you choose open from the file menu, the iCloud panel should open in the middle of your screen.
Just a panel that lets me see the folders on my mac not on the cloud. I'm confused.
That sounds as though you don't have document syncing turned on. For the avoidance of doubt, did you check in system preferences > iCloud. If so, try turning it off and on again.
Tried and no different. All of my other contacts, calendars, etc are working.
At this point I'd mention you can add them to iCloud.com in your web browser, but you shouldn't need to do that.
What version of Numbers are you using.
Latest version, only downloaded today.
I have been checking and the hidden files are missing that syc the documents. Not sure how to get them back, or if this would be the issue.
If you mean in the library, which folders/files do you think are missing.
Do you have the same issue with text edit or pages for example.
The mobile documents folder is missing and yes it's the same for pages, keynote & numbers.
You might try logging out of iCloud, restarting and logging back in.
Thanks for the help. Turns out I have Lion not Mountain Lion. I installed Mountain Lion and all sorted.
