Got a loaner camera, lost on file transfer method.

My JVC just went south and I had to pick up a loaner for a shoot tomorrow. I have no idea how to begin the transfer process. The loaner camera is a Sony PMW-350 XDCAM EX. I connected a firewire cable (400 to 800) and have no idea what to do next. Any help will be greatly apprciated. The Sony manual is very vague.

Thanks to all.

I downloaded the software and installed. I take it I should use the HDV/DV output from the cam, correct? Is that firewire 400 to 800? If so, any ideas on what to do next? I feel like a real dummy here. I am so used to just taking the card out of the JVC 700U and putting it in a slot and done. Is there a setting on the camera to allow it to transfer files? Just kinda lost here. I really appreciate tour input. (sorry for the pun)

Cheers.

I finally mounted the camera on the desktop, installed the Sony clip browser. Although I for the life of me cannot find thay program after I installed it. I did note that the clip browser was for XDCAM and not EXCAM. But when I transferred the mp4 file to my desktop from the camera, nothing would open it. QuickTime or FCP X. Help!

Best.
