Transition from "me" to "icloud" email settings

Apple seems to be transitioning users from the "me" email domain to the "icloud" domain. Currently I can use as my email address an icloud doman, e.g. smith@icloud.com. However, my PC has as settings: p02-imap.mail.me.com and p02-smpt.mail.me.com. When will it change to icloud, or something like, imap.mail.icloud.com and smpt.mail.icloud.com? What are thecurrent best settings for a PC?Thank you.

Thank you for your response. However, the issue is not setting up icloud, but setting up email under the icloud domain name. That is, transitioning from imap.mail.me.com and smpt.mail.me.com to possibly imap.mail.icloud.com and smpt.mail.icloud.com. What are the latest imap and smpt setting for a PC email client?

So are you saying you've already downloaded the iCloud Control Panel, used it to turn on iCloud, connected your iCloud to Outlook 2007 or later's email as described in the article attached above, and you still have an issue with domain settings?

Or instead are you asking the forum folks to speculate about when Apple might transition from "me.com" to "icloud.com" domain names? Providing such speculation would violate the terms and conditions of this forum.
