After updating on 5.0.5. every time I try to export project, Motion crashes. Any help?

Does motion crash when yoou try to share other projects or just a particular one? Have you tried different share options? First thought would be to trash motion preferences found in ~/library/preferences/com.apple.motionapp.plist and see if that helps.
Thank you for your fast answer. It crashes with every project I've done with the new version. OLd ones I couldn't try because they are on another disk, which is not here by the moment. It crashes with every sharing option, and I've trashed the prefs but it doesn't help.
I assume from your posting that you have tried multiple new projects, which eliminates project file corruption as a possibility. At this point I would reinstall Motion as the next step to try. An alternative would be to eliminate any corrupted events. Did you use the same events in all the projects which failed to share? You could put the existing events in a new folder called Final Cut Events Hidden, for example, and then create a new event and try a new project. To reinstall put the application and its preference files in the trash, but don't empty the trash. Make sure you unmount any external drives that have a time machine backup or clone of your OS and then reinstall from the App store.
If none of this works I am out of ideas. One last thought is to trash the layouts folder in ~/Library/Application Support/Motion.
I've seen some people saying they had problems with crashes at export if they had Perian installed. If you have it installed on your system, you could try removing it.
This is serious - is this still an issue for anyone? I've done everything suggested here on this post, but this is still an issue. Even Compressor crashes/Fails, does this information help?
Did you get a resolution to this problem? I've tried everything, but still crash on any type of Export - this is a seroius issue with 5.0.5!!
