Submitted files not processed

Came back this morning to find that files had not been encoded to youtube. Not Happy.

I submit any file to be processed it says processing and that is it, no file is created. Have changed the encoder, destination, trashed pref, and have seen no change. I use all the programs mentioned below and can export from Final Cut and Motion as Master files.

Using Final Cut X 10.6, Compressor 4.05, Motion 5.05 on a Mac Pro 2x2.26GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 12 Gb, SSD OSX 10.8.2 (connected - Matrox MXO2 Mini Max)

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

It looks like it maybe a hardware problem, with my Matrox MO2 Mini Max, as I first tried to encode using the Matrox Max encoders. I removed the Pref again from user/library/applicationsupport/Apple Qmaster/ and tried encoding with non Matrox encoders and one work (30sec File took 1 minute from quicktime 422 - h264) and the other says processing, bt the time remaining says 00:00:02 and has said that for the last 5 minutes, the file it says it is processing is 1hr long. So it maybe fixed or not, we will see.

Thanks Russ H for trying to help, if you have any other ideas please let me know.

You ran Compressor Repair and nothing changed…and the Matrox drivers are update to date…right?

If so I'd verify that it isn't a problem with that specific file by trying to compress something different but comparable to the one that won't compress.

If that also didn't process, I'd change the target (another codec, size, etc) to test whether it's a target-specific problem.

If still no joy, I'd remove Compressor (revisit DR's site and get their FSC Uninstaller to make sure you get all the files). Reinstall, repair permissions and try again.

Good luck.

Russ
