Nov 1, 2012 11:23 AM in response to Anthony09876by LarryHN,what version of iPhoto do you have?
I do not see your camera on the list of supported cameras - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5371 (and your OS is not up to date so you would have a smaller support list)

Nov 1, 2012 12:04 PM in response to LarryHNby Anthony09876,thanks for that, as far as I could see it was included on the list (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5371)

Nov 1, 2012 12:19 PM in response to Anthony09876by Terence Devlin,The E-1 is included on the List but you have the E-PM1 which isn't.
Raw support has to be added on a model by model basis - and note that's model. The raw on every Olympus camera is different - same with every other brand too.

Nov 1, 2012 12:39 PM in response to Anthony09876by LarryHN,If the PEN E-PM1 is your camera it is Supported by OS X Mountain Lion v10.8 - your profile says you have OS X 10.5.8 so
your OS is not up to date so you would have a smaller support list
With a few minutes you may be able to find teh RAW support for your version of the OS and of iPhoto

Nov 1, 2012 3:58 PM in response to Terence Devlinby Anthony09876,Thanks again to all, just to clarify, the E-PM1 is on the list, right at the end. And I have ML 10.7.5. I haven't had time yet to try the TIFF suggestion.

Nov 1, 2012 4:05 PM in response to Anthony09876by LarryHN,You need to update your profile - it states OS X 10.5.8 which makes support more difficult
you have not shared what version of iPhoto you have
according to this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4757 if you have iPhoto '11 version 9.4 or newer your camera should be supported
Also you noted that you see the JPEGs but not the RAW - once you resolve this RAW issue note that there is no reason to show JPEG + RAW - shoot one or the other

Nov 2, 2012 1:15 AM in response to LarryHNby Anthony09876,Hello again,
Thanks again for your time and trouble. I have updated my profile - apologies for leading you astray a bit. I also have iPhoto '11 9.4.1.
Just to clarify my question, where should I see the RAW files assuming everything was working normally?
I put the SD card into the iMac and load the pictures from there straight into iPhoto. Does it have to be through the camera? Are they only visible using the Olympus software first? And if they come into iPhoto where would they appear? As far as I can see from the camera settings I am currently saving JPG and RAW on the camera, so I should see both.
I did search around a bit to try and find answers but not with much success.
thank you,
Anthony
