iOS 6.01 Did it fix your wifi issues?

Seems to have made mine worse. My 3GS could pick up my wifi anywhere in my house. The iPhone 5 not so much, and less since the patch I installed 3 hrs ago.

No it did not fix issues for wifi!

Can I exchange this for iPad 4?

no, nothing is fixed. I use an iphone 4 and I still have serious wifi connectivity problems. I will definately switch to an android phone. Screw Apple!

Nope. Still comes in and out of WiFi and at times, my connectivity will just "hang" on wifi. I have to reset the phone (holding down sleep & home button) or do a Network Reset in settings.

All this after doing a full restore as new phone, and a full DFU restore as a new phone. Also had the keyboard glitchy issue too after iOS 6.01 update. Same as my wifes phone (I have Iphone 5 32gb black, she has iPhone 32gb white).

Pretty unimpressed with all the crap: horrible battery life, wifi issues, the "it happens to all cameras in phones" purple flare I get indoors and outdoors (even though we took 1000's of pics with our iPhone 4 and never had any flaring).

I find it hard to believe that we got two lemons either. This really isn't living up to the standards we've come to expect.

I too have a wifi bug. After updating the 4th gen touch to iOS 6, there were thankfully no connection problems with my WPA2 network on a DLink 651 (DHCP, no reservations or access control). However after updating to 6.0.1, immediately it would not join my network even after a restart, reset of network settings and full clean restore of iOS, and even a restart and factory reset of the router. After selecting my network, I would just see a prolonged spinner next to the network name. Weirdly it eventually connected on its own.

Next day after leaving the house and returning with the iPod after being on another WPA2 network, the behaviour returned. I tapped to view the DHCP connection info - it was blank - then the IP, subnet mask, router and DNS numbers popped up. I watched it drop and then show these numbers over and over. The IP it was pulling was 192.168.0.100 - the very last IP in the range. Aha, broken DHCP in the software? I then entered a random manual IP of 192.168.0.30 as well as the correct subnet mask and router IP and *poof*, instant connection.

So I think it's fair to say DHCP requests are being fudged somehow in 6.0.1. On home networks, manually reserving an address for the Touch might be the workaround for now but of course that's not possible when using networks on routers one does not personally own.

I got my iPhone 5 first week of October. imediatly i realized my wifi was unusable on my iphone 5. i went back to my carrier to excange and they told me its a software issue and apple will be releasing a software update to fix the problem. I swithed to WEP network and it was more reliable but i was only getting speeds of 5 MBPS when I have a 55 MBPS internet. Finally ios 6.0.1 came out. I installed it. Switched back to WAP and the problem was still there. I bought a brand new wifi, as my old one was only a year old. The problem was not fixed. Went back to my carrier to get it excanged and they told me it was to late as my one month was up. With a little fighting they were able to excange it but went home and problem was not fixed. I went back there and i finally switched to the Samsung S3 and i have never been happier. Wifi is strong and usuable through out my house. I just hate to do this since i have had an iphone a since the 3gs 4 years ago and all my life was there.

Just want to say "Me too." Ipad 2 with 6.0 dropping wifi constantly. Updated to 6.01. No change. If anything, it drops more often...about every 10-15 mins. Help!

When wi-fi is poor on one of our IOS devices, I just switch to another user name under settings, then wi-fi, the network connections that we have, and it's fine. I have no idea why. When we'd first upgraded to IOS 6 we read somewhere to upgrade the firmware on our Dlink router. Once we did that if we are having any problem at all now, it's on all the wi-fi devices in our home and we have to reset the router itself, I don't know why that happens but then the devices including the smart TV are fine.

Just saying your Wi-Fi keeps dropping doesn't give us much.

What device is providing you the Wi-Fi service?

Is this your home Wi-Fi service or someone else's?

Please let us know the device model or if you are having problems wherever you go.

And then maybe we can look at the settings.

NO, nothing has been fixed. I have a 4S that worked flawlessy until I upgraded to IOS 6 and then to 6.0.1. I was planning on buying 2 ipads and an Iphone 5 this holiday this season, guess what Apple I'm spending my money elsewhere and for the first time in many years I'm looking at products outside of the apple universe. I haven't had consistent wifi or bluetooth since late September, this is ridiculous.

How can a company do this to it's customers? Apple shareholders sell now because this ship is sinking! I am DONE WITH APPLE I swear to god.
