I have iWork and just upgraded to Mountain Lion but cannot save to iCloud

Question

I have iWork and just upgraded to Mountain Lion but cannot save to iCloud

I have Pages 4.2 not bought via the App store but on CD. Pages "knows" about iWork but not about iCloud. It looks like it needs a patch to work with iCloud, any ideas?

Mac Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Quit Pages.

In System Preferences > iCloud

Log into iCloud with your Apple ID. Stay logged in.
At minimum, check Documents & Data

Quit System Preferences.

Restart Pages '09 v4.2. It should now present you with a new dialog box that offers selectable, iCloud, or On My Mac location choices in the dialog heading bar.
