Has anyone else tried Facetime or Google+ Hangouts and found the microphone to be pretty poor? I need to actually put my mouth an inch or so away for anyone to hear me. I would try my iPhone 4 headphones but I don't think that mic ever worked. Curious if this is an overall design flaw or if mine is defective.
Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

Since the mini is new, I wouldn't think this would be the problem, but try it. Could be dust in the mic hole. Use a vacuum on the hole.

Hold onto it if using a vacuum ! It's so light it might get sucked up and scratched!

Sorry I can't test as i don't use Factime etc.
Mine went flat from a 98% charge after about 6 hours, but I guess needs a full charge/recharge cycle.
Loving the small form factor - so comfortable to use.

If you have placed a skin on the pad make sure the micro is not covered. This was our issue. Solved by a very deligent grandma
