Can anyone explain how we're supposed to handle podcast subscriptions now? Do we let the podcast app download new podcasts and unsubscribe in itunes? If I download a podcast in Podcasts app will the same podcast still be downloaded in iTunes? I'm confused. I listen to podcasts on my iphone and in itunes on my laptop but I don't want the same episdoe to appear as new in itunes if i already downloaded in in Podcasts. Thanks,

I was optimistic when I saw fix previous played or deleted podcasts reappearing on the list of updates to the podcast app. I'm not sure if that bug was causing my problem, but the fix didn't resolve it.

I unsubscribed to a bunch of podcasts in iTunes and have them only in the iOS 6 podcast app. But despite setting them to "save last 3" or "save only unheard", in some cases I see *hundreds* of old episodes. And for some podcasts, even if I manually delete them, one by one, a few days later they reappear.

So, a few questions...

1) Is there a way to "bulk delete" episodes within a podcast? Doing the "swipe and delete" one at a time is tedious.

2) Why does the app seem to be ignoring my "display..." setting?

I love the subscription and auto-download features in the app, but I want a clean listing of episodes showing just the unheard / number I specified.

Anyone know what's going on here?

The update has added a problem for me. I have an iPod Touch 4th Gen and now I keep getting bugged to turn off Airplane Mode on when I use the podcast app.

I turn it off wifi by switching off airplane Mode when I take the Touch out of range of wifi, ie away from home, and I want to listen to podcasts, this never happen before the update.

If I leave wifi on all the time will it not run down the battery as the touch keeps trying to find a wifi signal?

I think we are meant to have copies of the episodes on our iDevices and on iTunes so that the syncing can happen, even though this seem to be against what I thought was intended but maybe the episodes/[podcast are supposed to sync with iCloud and it just doesn't work. Surprise, surprise, Apple still can't do Cloud.

I don't allow iTunes to download new podcast automatically so I only get new episodes, for the few test podcasts, on my Touch. This may be why even though I have said only keep unplayed episodes it doesn't remove played episodes.
