iPod Nano 2012 FM Radio Quality Question

I have an old

Second Generation iPod Nano The Red One. It still works perfectly. but this Nano doesn't not include an FM radio. I would really like to be able to listen to the radio when I need idea's for new songs to buy off iTunes.

I want the absolute highest Quality Digital Tuner Possible that I can use with headphones.

Is there anyone who has bought several iPod Nanos and has the ability to compare to see if the quality has improved with each generation.

I would like as many peoples opinions as possible

Actually the FM tuner in the new 7G is different from earlier generations. Both BT and FM functionality is now provided by a Broadcom chipset (BCM2078KUBG) according to the iFixit teardown. FM was provided by a different supplier in previous generations. According to this review, FM audio quality has improved in the new 7G - http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/reviews/entry/apple-ipod-nano-seventh-generatio n/P3

sometimes I get bored of listening to the same songs on my ipod over and over. it would be nice to have the radio. Nano's are much cheaper and double the storage they were back during the second gen iPod nano. I love getting the RED version and having my name put on the back. My Current nano has my name in white. but when go to the part where you type out what you want to appear on the back it was showing the text in black.
